Facts

My greek goddess was Athena. She was the goddess of wisdom, craft, and war. Her roman counterpart name was Minerva. Her attribute is the owl, which signifies watchfulness and wisdom.

story
Zeus and his wife, Metis, were expecting a child, but when zeus remembered a prophecy about how his child would overthrow him, just like he had overthrown his own father, he swallowed Metis and the unborn child. After he had swallowed his family, Zeus was overcome with a roaring headache, so he called down one of his his fellow gods, Hephaetus. Hephaestus sliced open Zeus's head with an ax, and Athena popped out, fully armed.
Many people say that AThena does not have a mother and that Zeus actually gave birth to AThena himself.
